computer project

I’ve been working on building a new computer the last few months. I never pay full price or shipping so this took a while. After getting all my components, the wiring was the difficult part. I don’t like wires everywhere. This had to be neat and clean even though no one but me (and now you) would ever see it. Custom wiring and anal retentive placement of these wires meant countless hours of installing and removing everything and reinstalling it. This is how it turned out. I decided to go all black on this one.

  1. I got a used laptop, I guess it’s near the middle of Acer’s line. It’s got Windows 7 (hmm..Vista?) and it keeps offering me Windows 10 for free. I’m familiar with Windows 8. Anyway, I hesitate because almost anytime I’ve downloaded major stuff on any of the five or six PC laptops I’ve had over the years, something MAJOR seems to go wrong (something that’s never clear) And it seems to be a pretty old laptop, and I can’t afford professional help. But I really miss Photo Gallery. Right now, I can only view and store photos via Windows, I can’t edit them.
So I decided to flatter you and then get your opinion.
NO! I really didn’t, and would never. This just popped into my head and I thought I’d ask. Please just disregard if it’s an imposition. THANKS.

I assume that the meaty specs are for media encoding? I have a ‘little engine that could’ celeron 2.7 GHz dual, with hopes of upgrading to an i5 for live streaming (via Quick Sync). Just had to ask, since I do help desk and sysadmin stuff for a living. 🙂

    hope you’re well! ✌
